The Dismounted Troopers

A troop of dismounted harquebusiers mainly in buff coats, back-and-breast, and iconic lobster tail helmets. They advance with carbines and pistols at the ready, ordered to clear the dregs of the enemy from an outlying sconce. It’s an enterprise that cannot be essayed from horseback - a hard task for well-armed and experienced men with no compunction. For it must be carried through at close quarters with powder and shot, and finished in cold steel.
